Floor & Laminate Repair

A damaged board does not mean relaying the entire floor. We repair scratches, chips and dents on the spot, blending them into the surrounding boards.

Floor & Laminate Repair

Relaying a floor because of one or two damaged boards is expensive and wasteful — and often the original product is no longer available. Our board-by-board repairs restore the damaged area in place, matching the colour, grain and sheen of your existing floor.

We repair laminate, vinyl, LVT (luxury vinyl tile), engineered and solid wood flooring, tackling scratches, chips, dents, gouges and heat or cigarette burns. The repaired area is sealed to match the surrounding finish and stand up to everyday foot traffic.

It is the ideal solution for damage caused by moving furniture, dropped objects or pets, restoring a flawless floor without the upheaval and cost of a full replacement.

Repairing individual damaged boards costs a fraction of relaying an entire floor. A new laminate floor supply and fit can cost £500–£2,000 or more — a professional board repair is a fraction of that. In most cases the original product is discontinued, making a seamless repair the only practical option.

Repair vs. replace — why it makes sense

Before spending thousands on replacement, consider what a professional cosmetic repair actually delivers.

Laminate flooring is the most widely fitted floor covering in UK homes, and the embossed wood grain surface means colour matching requires a skilled eye and the right range of repair waxes and compounds. We build up the repair in thin layers to match the depth of the grain, then apply a surface sealant matched to the sheen level of the surrounding boards.

LVT and luxury vinyl plank floors are very popular in modern homes and, while durable, can be gouged by furniture legs or damaged by heavy dropped objects. These repairs are particularly cost-effective as LVT products are often changed between product runs, meaning an exact replacement tile or plank may not be available in the same batch or colour.

Engineered and solid wood floors can be sanded and refinished as a whole, but isolated scratches, dents and chips are often better repaired in place using coloured waxes and hard-setting compounds that fill the damaged area and match the grain. This avoids the disruption of furniture removal and the weeks of drying time associated with a full floor refinish.

How it works

A straightforward process, from first contact to finished repair.

  1. 01

    Assess the damage

We assess the scratches, chips or burns and confirm which boards need attention. Most floor repairs are quoted quickly from a photo sent via WhatsApp or email.

  2. 02

    Clean and prepare

The area is cleaned thoroughly. Any loose or lifted material is removed to create a solid, stable base for the repair compound.

  3. 03

    Fill and colour-match

The damaged area is filled layer by layer, shaped to match the grain profile and colour-matched using a blend of repair waxes and compounds to blend with the surrounding boards.

  4. 04

    Sealed and hard-wearing

The repair is sealed to match the existing floor sheen — matt, satin or gloss — and withstand everyday foot traffic.
